Glass Craft Beads

What types of rocks are ok to use in an Aquarium?
I already know that gravel is purely decorative, and that certain types of rock should be avoided (like Marble). I dont want to use gravel in my fishtank, but I got an idea… Is it safe to use River Rocks in the bottom of the tank? I’m not talking about plucking actual rocks from the bottom of the river, I mean those decorative “river rocks” that come in a mesh bag available in dollar stores and craft stores. And with that, are those shiny glass beads (usually flat on one side and used in vases) ok to use as well?
Basically I just want to know if the “river rocks” bought from a dollar or craft store are ok to use.
Marble can be used in your tank as well as the “river rock” bought in craftstores, walmart and the dollar stores. You do not have to BOIL it either, just wash it off well with clean water.
Glass beads work well , I will warn you they always seem to be dirty and show the fish poo you missed in the tank. (Been there done that)
Polished rocks are not laquered, they are polished with sand.
in a tumbler. Also fish poop doesn’t float around the tank even if you don’t have gravel in it.
